I took the ferry to Sausalito from San Francisco and would recommend taking out of town guests for the ride as well. It’s an absolute must.

I stumbled upon this store when I was visiting the Sleeping Goddess in Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. They sell “organic” hair extensions and I was excited, as the storeowners were eager to sell me their goodies and readily showed me the step-by-step process of adding hair extension. It comes in various colors and length and is worn at festivals…gorgeous isn’t it?
I call it ‘buttery’ because the pork melts in your mouth. Yep, it’s that good!

Tsuyo, our dog demands to be treated like a King! We seldom let him in our casa unless he begs…Tsuyo, translated ’strong’ in Japanese, is roughly six years old, but he has the stamina and energy of a newly born puppy. He’s the ’star’ of our family and he knows it! Here, he ignores my mom’s plea…
I looooovvveee umeboshi—a Japanese treat. Yummy? Absolutely. It is a tad bit high in sodium so daily consumption is not recommended! The flavor comes from salt and the color purple from shiso (perilla) leaves. It is most used as a filling for onigiri (a popular rice ball wrapped in nori). I like hachimitchu (honey) plum for the sweetness. Give it a try…you’ll love it too. I put it on a plain bowl of rice with nori (dry seaweed) and also drop it in a cup of hot green tea to get the bitterness out.
I’ve protected my nails for years with this product. It gives me the perfect shade of red.
