I love beans…for me it’s the most versatile type of protein I can eat. It’s probably because I grew up sipping misoshiru (miso soup) — a staple soup of Japanese cuisine. I was so excited when my friend Sunil agreed to teach me how to cook chana, Nepali beans. It was so easy to prepare and I’ve been making it ever since…
What you’ll need…
Garbanzo beans (canned ok)
1 onion (diced)
1 cup tomatoes, diced (fresh or canned)
Sprinkle of cumin
Sprinkle of turmeric
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
Sprinkle pinch of salt
Heat Pan
Brown onion and tomatoes
Sauté mixture until soft and brown
Add garbanzo beans
Add all spices and sauté for 15 minutes
I’ve been itching to travel to the Netherlands for a while…it will be my first trip to a Scandinavian country…really the Scandinavians boys are um…oh so gorgeous…the blonde hair, blue+green eyes….quite opposite of what I look like…exotic? sexy?
Ok- so what does this have to do with Domino’s-well…well, they created Domino’s Delivery Points in the Netherlands over the summer…doors that prominently feature the company’s phone number, for delivery people to ring. Cool idea eh? Now, why didn’t someone think about this before?
I picked up this acorn when I went jogging today. For some reason, I get a tad bit sentimental whenever I see acorns…maybe because we had an acorn tree growing in our back yard in Tokyo, Japan. My dad used to take me to a park filled with Oak trees and we used to pick acorns, take them back home and throw them in a container. I don’t know why?
I took the train from Milan, Italy and went for a day trip to Venice. The city is funky…I felt like I was floating on water. The buildings of Venice are constructed on really closely spaced wood piles and bricks. So I found myself gasping for air once in awhile…felt a tad bit claustrophobic.
I shoot most of the pictures and videos for Diiver using a Canon Powershot SD780 IS. It’s pocket-sized (fits in the back of my jeans), great focus range and makes an amateur photographer such as myself look professional. I LOVE any gadget that makes me a tad bit sexier, and this Canon is one of them.
I’ve been home bound as I sprained by knees over-doing my workout. It kills me that I’ve had to miss some days at the gym because of the pain. So, I went to a local store and couldn’t decide what to purchase. I finally settled on Futuro Sport® Adjustable Knee Support. This product is great…I love it…it gives me mega-support and I can still go to the gym and do light cardio.
I first went to Fire And Ice Pizzeria about 10 years ago and continue to visit this joint. A Neapolitan style pizza smack in the middle of Thamel, Kathmandu – yep…and its seriously delicious. This pizzeria was created by an Italian woman about a decade ago and continues to be a local attraction.

Pizza by the name: Da Willy. A fantastic restaurant in Milan. I know eh? I stumbled upon this eatery when I got uber lost. I walked into the joint and asked the manager for directions. She was sweet, kind AND spoke perfect English. Grazie Bella Donna.
I returned back to the restaurant the very next day, for I was craving pizza. They have one of the largest pizzas I’ve ever seen, and it’s delicious. These extremely thin crust pies (made in a brick oven) come in over two dozen varieties. It’s seriously addictive…I was so hopelessly addicted to the taste of Da Willy that I ended my very last meal in Milan with one of their fungi and ham pies.
Here I am in Budhanilkantha (home of the Sleeping Goddess, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal) buying a necklace for my friend Tami. Haggling for price is a part of the shopping culture in Nepal.
Eh? What–exactly my thought. Yep, Tokio Hotel is the name of a four-person german boy band. They are a mini-Gemilli Diversi (my favorite Italian band). Tokio Hotel just premiered their new single, “Automatic” from their much-anticipated album Humanoid,…and I love it! They are already big in Europe and their new album is their attempt to concur the USA.
